The Bluewater designers made the front of the boat wide. When downward forces are exerted, the bow lifts, keeping the front deck from operating as a plane and keeping the propellers in the water where they belong. In test after test, the Bluewater design has proven better than the hulls of traditional yachts. Jim Klapmeier, the founder, evaluated the boating industry. There was a group of people that the boating industry forgot. Men and women who were interested in piloting a pleasure cruising boat themselves without a crew were searching for a boat in which they could be confident and safe in bad weather conditions. They wanted a yacht that would be easy to handle at sea, yet would also be able to be nosed up on a sandy lake or beach. They wanted a boat with beautiful décor and furnishings that would make them feel at comfortable and make entertaining guests fun
A Bluewater yacht is not an ocean racer, but a smooth running boat that does well in one to three foot seas, and safe in rough conditions. A Bluewater yacht cuts through and planes on top of the water. It has an terrific horsepower for a boat of this size. To our knowledge no Bluewater yacht has even been lost to the seas.
The Bluewater we are offering to sell is located in Callville Bay Marina on Lake Mead, Nevada. It is a 1984, 51.0 foot, 350.0 HP yacht in excellent condition. The interior was complete redone in 2005. $149,000
